Volunteerism. If you have never done a community service, participate in volunteering , projects and program.
Reach out for help if you don't understand anything in your application. Have your essays proofread, and make sure you learn how to write scholarship essays. On my blog, I usually talk about diverse topics such as college admission, scholarships, leadership programs, as well as how to win them with undeniable essays.
After getting to know the program and confirming you eligibility, it is very important to know what it takes to be a FLEXer. FLEX by its name is a cultural and leadership exchange program, in which you need to showcase your leadership skills and the strong passion to share your culture in the US. Here are some factors you might want to improve in yourself: learning about your own culture, realizing why you actually want to share it with Americans, volunteerism, leadership skills, good grades at school, at least intermediate/upper-intermediate English proficiency, etc.
