I was contacted a couple of times about getting accepted to CMU Qatar. I will give you a brief overview from my perspective:

Firstly, CMU-Q is now very competitive with a lower acceptance rate than it used to be. Because it's attracting a lot of students with its generous financial aid system and its global ranking. CMU-Q offers need-based financial aid, which means that once you are accepted, you will pay whatever amount you can pay and the rest will be covered as a grant.

If you are wondering what scores you need to be accepted, to be honest, I don't know. But I know students who were rejected with 1500+ SAT scores and there are also international students who got in without SAT or with lower SAT scores.  There is no single criteria which determines your acceptance. CMU-Q follows a holistic approach and they look through all the things you submitted in your application, like your grades, recommendation letters, extracurriculars, etc and decide if you are a good fit to CMU-Q. It also depends who you are competing against in the application which you don't know as an applicant.

So it's hard to say what guarantees your acceptance. What I do suggest is to make a strong application in all aspects and check if it would fit to CMU-Q. The university website would be a good source for that. Lastly, I also think you should be lucky too:)
