This question was asked a lot. How to find research positions, how to do research? So, I decided to write a separate post on it.
Cold email. The best way to land research positions is to cold email professors. To cold email, just prepare an email with your request and the reason why you want the position. Then, find professors (go to the university’s website and find the prof’s email). Email as many professors as you can. It doesn’t have to be a professor from Oxford or MIT, working with any professor with a PhD will be very impressive. Those from lesser known universities will be more likely to respond to you.
Do not forget about the reason you want to work with that professor! If the professor sees that you’re genuinely passionate about the research you want to do, and not just doing it for the tick, they will be more likely to work with you. This video was very helpful for me back when I was cold emailing.
A good tip is to search for Uzbek professor’s in international universities or Uzbek graduates from international universities. They will be more likely to work with other Uzbeks
