The Additional Information section gives you the freedom to provide essential information about your application that you can't find space for anywhere else in the Common App.

Firstly, it can be used to show credibility πŸ€”. If you want to add credibility to your activities, leave links for any project that you did in the Additional Info section.

Secondly, if you feel like the character limit in the Common App isn't enough to showcase the depth and impact of your projects, feel free to use the Additional Info section for that πŸ€“

Last but not least, write definitions for any unknown terminology (e.g. Uzbek words like Zakovat) in the Additional Info section. I wrote a whole page describing what Zakovat is and about the actual scale of the competitions in which I regularly participated and won (so they don't think it's some random unofficial Zakovat tournament at your friend's backyard). Also, I wrote about what Presidential Schools and the PIIMA Agency are (like that they're schools for gifted children who are selected through rigorous examinations). I can say it helped me because the note from my application reader from Harvard mentioned "The Presidential Schools System in Uzb." πŸŽ‰

❕Here is an example from my Common Application:

Zakovat Activity Title Description:

"Et-Cetera" Zakovat QuizBowl Team at The Presidential School in Tashkent (see Add'l info)"

As you can see, I asked to look at the Additional Info section, where I wrote in depth information about what Zakovat is
